Make Your Decision Work: A Word of Advice Before College Decision Day.

As a finale to my working relationship with my students, I always meet with my seniors to discuss options in April before they commit before the May 1st deadline, which is often known as the “college decision day.” Many parents and students ask which college will give them the best opportunities for their future.

As a counselor, I give them my two cents' worth about the programs, student life etc. (the pros and the cons). But, I make sure to tell them that THEIR FUTURE IS THEIRS TO MAKE. One can go to the #1 college in the world and still not be happy or even land a job after graduation.

Don't turn back. Make whatever you choose work.
