My work as a college essay coach entails bringing out the best stories in a student’s life so as to present a consolidated picture of a strong candidate that will get a nod from the colleges.
I taught academic writing as a Humanities Core Writing Intern at the University of Chicago. Prior to that I taught reading comprehension and writing to students preparing for the Cambridge University GCE “A” level exam.

In my college counseling role, I customize the guidance for every student and provide strategies for the best chances of admission to the best fit schools.
I provide organizational templates to keep track of tasks and deadlines. I explore with my students the majors that best fit their interests and life goals. I advise them on drawing a reasonable list of colleges to apply to.
Past students have been admitted to top-ranked colleges, including Harvard, MIT, Stanford, Yale, Johns Hopkins, Cornell, U of Michigan, Washington U St Louis, U of Southern California and the University of California (various campuses).

I received a Ph.D. in Psychology from the University of Chicago.
I have taught Psychology at the State University of New York, Yale University and the University of Chicago, where I received numerous excellence in teaching awards.
My background and life experience grant me the ability to customize advice to students with different circumstances and strengths or challenges.
